STONEBRIDGE HONORS MILITARY ON PRESIDENTS DAY WITH A SPECIAL LIBERTY DAY" CELEBRATION

Liberty Day is celebrated annually on Presidents Day at StoneBridge School to honor the armed forces personnel within the StoneBridge community. This year’s Liberty Day will be held on Monday, February 16, 2009, at 8:30 a.m. at the lower school campus at 4810 Portsmouth Blvd., Portsmouth. Liberty Day is free and open to the public.

 

Highlights of the event include: a Presidential Wax Museum of former presidents and first ladies presented by the 5th grade classes, presentation of the colors by the U.S. Air Force Color Guard, congregational singing of the armed forces anthems, and a procession and candle-lighting ceremony for all the military personnel (active duty and veterans) within the StoneBridge community.
