StoneBridge Seniors Rake in the Scholarships
Jordan Lemmon – Regent University – Chosen to attend the Scholars Weekend – Jordan will have an opportunity to compete for one of several available full-ride scholarships as well as be a guest at Regent for an entire weekend, staying at The Founders Inn. The scholarship competition includes evaluating ACT or SAT scores, official high school transcripts, GPA, written essay and an interview with a panel of faculty. Several full-ride scholarships and partial scholarships will be awarded during the weekend.
Brian Palmer – Adrian College - $28,000 Dean Scholarship - The average profile of a Dean Scholarship recipient consists of a GPA of 3.3 and an ACT average of 22/SAT 1030. Brian will receive $7,000 a year, for a total of $28,000. Brian was also accepted at Concordia College and Calvin College.
Meghan Rader - Meredith College - $56,000 scholarship ($14,000/year)
Trey Raines – Hampden-Sydney College - $10,000 President’s Scholarship - For candidates who have exhibited significant leadership in their school or community and who have either a grade-point average of 3.5 or better and at least 1100 on the SAT (24 composite on the ACT), or at least 1200 on the SAT (27 Composite on the ACT) and, in the opinion of Hampden-Sydney College, strong academic performance in a rigorous college-preparatory program.
Sarah Tabb – Radford University – Full Basketball Scholarship
Ashley Woodland – Christopher Newport University - $4,000 Presidential Leadership Program - Each fall, approximately 200 freshmen from all over the United States are admitted to the President's Leadership Program at CNU. They look for students who have exhibited leadership characteristics in their schools, churches and communities. Students are selected on the basis of academic achievement. Most applicants present a minimum GPA of 3.3 and 1180 SAT (Critical Reading and Math) or 26 on the ACT. As a part of the PLP, Ashley will minor in leadership, receive a minimum $500 residential scholarship each semester she participates, will be eligible to receive $500 - $2,000 for international study. Each first-year student will be eligible to reside in Quest Housing with other members of the Leadership and Honors Programs. Everyone will have opportunities to dine with the President and meet other business and political leaders.
