STONEBRIDGE AUTHOR BOOK SIGNING AT BARNES & NOBLE

StoneBridge staff member Kristin Garrett, 22, will be signing copies of her book, Confessions of a Free Spirit: A Girl’s Guide to Finding Herself in an Image-Obsessed Culture, on Saturday, February 7, 2009, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Barnes & Noble in MacArthur Center, downtown Norfolk.

In Confessions of Free Spirit, published by Tate Publishing & Enterprises, LLC, Garrett tells sincerely of her experience as a self-declared free spirit trying to find her place as a Christian and as her own person in a society that makes girls feel like they must fit a certain type to be worth knowing and loving. Garrett discusses pertinent issues to middle-and high-school girls, speaking honestly about self-confidence, the media, guys, and community.

Kristin Garrett is a Chesapeake native, a graduate of Western Branch High School, and a 2008 graduate of Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL, where she studied music. She currently lives in her hometown of Chesapeake, VA, and works as the upper school receptionist at StoneBridge School.
