New Faculty & Staff 2009-2010


/files/New Photos/chris_1.jpg Mr. Chris Chacko is joining the Upper School faculty to teach eighth grade and tenth grade History classes.  After graduating from StoneBridge School, Mr. Chacko attended Grove City College in Pennsylvania, graduating with a B.A. in History.  He is currently working on a Masters in Education from Regent University.  He enjoys basketball, football, tennis, reading, kayaking, scuba diving, and seafood.  He and his wife Jennifer live in Portsmouth and attend James River Community Church and Beth Messiah.

Mrs. Jeanne Chacko, the mother of Mr. Chris Chacko, will be returning to our art department this year  teaching sixth and seventh grade art.  Mrs. Chacko holds degrees in nursing, counseling, and education.  She enjoys art, decorating, gardening, and reading, and her favorite foods are white cheddar cheese puffs, hot fudge sundaes, and pastries.  She lives with her husband John and her two pets, Pretzel (a miniature dachshund) and Aslan (a white German Shepherd), in Suffolk, where they attend New Life Church.  In addition to Chris, the Chackos have three other children—Jessica (CBN employee), Lauren (University of Mary Washington), and Jonathan (Old Dominion University), all StoneBridge alumni.

/files/New Photos/allison.jpgMiss Allison Leich is joining our Upper School faculty this year as Algebra I and Girls’ P.E. teacher.  She graduated from William & Mary with a B.S. in Physics with a Process Management and Consulting minor.   Her hobbies include gymnastics, ice hockey, piano, violin, running, dancing, acting, and writing, and her favorite foods are s’mores and bread.  She recently moved to Chesapeake, has a golden retriever named Gretzky, and is currently attending Coastlands Community Church.

/files/New Photos/Josiah.JPGMr. Josiah Luttrull will be teaching Chemistry (eleventh grade) and Physical Science (ninth grade) this year.  He holds a B.A. in Composite Science Education from Bob Jones University and is currently working towards an M.A. in Education from The Master’s College.  Mr. Luttrull enjoys any and all sports, listening to and playing music, and cooking, and his favorite foods are grilled steak and pizza.  He recently moved to Chesapeake and is presently looking for a church home.

/files/New Photos/Heidi.JPGMiss Heidi Spargur is another new member of the Upper School Math & Science faculty, teaching Earth Science (seventh and eighth grade) and Anatomy & Physiology.  She earned her Associate of Science degree from Paul D. Camp Community College and her B.S. in Biology from Old Dominion University.  Some of her interests are reading, crocheting, cooking, and fellowshipping with her family.  Her favorite food is chocolate cake, and she has two cats (Puff & Scamp) and twelve chickens!  She lives in rural Suffolk and attends Kempsville Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Reuben Silva will be teaching French at the Lower School and sixth grade French at the Upper School this year.  He is a Virginia Beach native and a 2009 graduate of Old Dominion University with a B.A. in Foreign Languages and Literatures.  He is a member of the ODU chapter of Pi Delta Phi, the French National Honor Society, and he enjoys sports, especially soccer, writing (especially poetry and short dramas), and film.  He attends Trinity Presbyterian Church in Norfolk.
