Basketball Junior Leagues

StoneBridge School’s Junior League is a developmental program for basketball players in grades Kindergarten-5th. The program serves as an introduction to the complete skills needed to play the game and develop into a well-rounded player. Daily work in ball handling, dribbling, passing, catching, rebounding, shooting both layups and jump shots, and basic on-ball defense will be covered so players understand how to play the game. Basic team concepts of offense and defense will be added as Junior League progresses. Skills will be taught with individual instruction in a group setting and team concepts will be taught according to grade levels.

All boys and girls in grades Kindergarten-5th can sign up for Basketball Junior League in the winter. This training program serves as a developmental program for all future SBS basketball players and serves as a model of SBS Athletics’ values – character, confidence, cohesion, and competition.

  • Age differentiated skill and game instruction are designed for players to have “take-away” work to practice and grow as players.
  • Players will be challenged to learn skills and expand their knowledge of the game.
  • Junior League is $65 per athlete. The cost includes a t-shirt and admission for your entire family to a home SBS basketball game!
  • The Junior League schedule takes place on Saturdays over 5 weeks in January and February.
