Alumni
Once a Cav, Always a Cav!

JOIN THE ALUMNI CHALLENGE!
We’re calling all alumni from the classes of 1993-2024 to participate in an exciting fundraising challenge! Each graduating StoneBridge class is being challenged to raise $2,000 collectively. Your contributions will help fund the newly established Servant Leadership Alumni Scholarship, to be awarded to a deserving StoneBridge senior upon graduation. They will also go to support the Nation Changers general fund, which provides essential student scholarships, programs, resources and more. The first class to reach this goal will be celebrated during the Alumni Games (basketball and volleyball), January 9, 2025, during Homecoming Week. The winning class will be announced at the games and will have the honor of having a class representative selected to speak at this year’s high school commencement ceremony!
Now is the time to rally your old classmates, dust off your yearbook, connect on Facebook, and spread the word. Let’s show that YOUR class is ready to be a part of something that will benefit future StoneBridge graduates for years to come!
Are you in? Let’s make a Kingdom impact together!

Ryan Martin
CLASS OF 2006

Nowhere are true leaders more important than in the home. SBS Alumnus Ryan Martin, Class of 2006, takes his role as father and leader of his home very seriously. He treasures the commands of Deuteronomy 6:5-7, which emphasizes the importance of prioritizing our love for the Lord, and impressing His commands on the hearts of our children.
Elizabeth Skertic
CLASS OF 2005

There’s no doubt that home ownership can be stressful. Keeping up with repairs, maintaining the house and lawn, and cleaning can be hard enough. But when one experiences a disaster such as fire, flood or hurricane, or more minor incidents, the disruption and angst can be overwhelming. SBS alumna Elizabeth Ritsch Skertic, Class of 2005, is there for homeowners at times such as these.
SARA GARTH GAINOR
CLASS OF 2010

She’s the first person potential students and families talk to as they explore enrolling at StoneBridge. With vigor and an energetic passion for the school’s mission, Sara Gainor, SBS Class of 2010, who is also an SBS parent, is perfect for the job.
JOSH HERRING
CLASS OF 2007

After graduating from StoneBridge in 2007, Josh Herring didn’t stray far from the education field. He is now a professor of Classical Education at Thales College in North Carolina, where he is responsible for building and leading his department, developing a teacher training program oriented toward the classical classroom.

WILL DAMRON
CLASS OF 2017

Will Damron (Class of 2017) credits his time at StoneBridge for preparing the way for the path he is on now, not only academically, but in his personal life and career. He even met his future wife, Alex Mann (Class of 2014), at StoneBridge. though he did not know it then.
ALEX MANN DAMRON
CLASS OF 2014

Alex Mann (Class of 2014) and Will Damron (Class of 2017) met at Stonebridge School about eight years ago. They didn’t really know each other at the time. Fast forward to 2019, when they reconnected at a Big House Church small group. Their friendship grew throughout the following years, and by May 2021, they knew their relationship had grown to more than just friendship. As they reflected, they realized they had been best friends for the past six months.
DANNY GONZALEZ
CLASS OF 2001

It’s not every day that someone gets engaged during Chrysalis, a time-honored StoneBridge tradition. In fact, it’s only happened once…to a teacher.
On a frigid night in 2005, Danny Gonzalez (Class of 2001), who was at the time a math teacher and chaperone, proposed to his then-girlfriend, Mary. He wanted to be alone to pop the question so he asked Mary to go for a walk in the venue’s garden. She agreed, but only if she could wear his jacket. The only problem was the ring was in that jacket. He handed her a card written by her father and was able to get down on one knee. The rest, as the saying goes, is history.
JUSTIN RATANATAYA
CLASS OF 2020

Justin Ratanataya, Class of 2020, who attended StoneBridge from pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade, was a familiar face among our athletes and for good reason. He helped out with virtually every sport StoneBridge offers, from soccer to basketball to volleyball and more throughout his high school term. While StoneBridge is known for its rigorous academic program, it is equally known for its ability to develop and hone students’ leadership skills.
KATIE WINGARD
CLASS OF 2017

Graduation is an exciting and sometimes stressful time in the life of a StoneBridge senior. Leaving behind the familiar and heading off into the unknown can be both fun and frightening. StoneBridge alum and current P.E. teacher Katie Wingard, Class of 2017, offered some advice to this year’s seniors.
KENNA CRIBB
CLASS OF 2005

When SBS Alumna Kenna Cribb graduated from StoneBridge in 2005, she never anticipated being a teacher/director. “I was basically right out of high school and in college classes when I was asked to take over directing the theater program at StoneBridge. By being a prefect at StoneBridge, and empowered by teachers to lead, I was able to believe I could step into this role at such a young age,” she said.
ASHTON LOVE
CLASS OF 2012

SBS Alumnus Ashton Love, Class of 2012, credits his 13-plus years at StoneBridge for grounding him in biblical truth and helping shape the man of character he is today. “You can get a good education anywhere, but it’s the environment and the Biblical worldview that set StoneBridge apart from the others,” Love says.
KARA MCCORMICK BONVILLIAN
