SBS STEM Day launches Without a Hitch!

Our schoolwide STEM, held April 15, launched without a hitch and demonstrated so clearly the connection between science and faith. At every STEM station, the driving theme, “Jesus at the Center,” reminded students that He is the dominant force giving direction and purpose to everything.

SBS students and faculty thank all our volunteers who helped make this day a huge success. Special thanks also goes out to Mr. Danny Gonzalez, who stepped up in a big way to help our Lower School and Upper School coordinators Kristina Stewart and Jennifer Hines plan, promote and execute the entire event. He truly helped make this day one of kind!

The Biblical principle for this year’s theme was based on Colossians 1:16, “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.”

Every grade, from preschool through 12th grade, participated in various experiments, talks, and demonstrations. The 3rd-5th grades went to Greenbrier Family Skating Center for their STEM presentation, as each grade remaining on campus rotated through various stations and challenges.

Some of the stations included anatomy, computer parts, coding, mentos experiment, design and construction, NASA, marine engineering, forensics, a build-a-nest STEM challenge, science of music, drones, animation, and physical science games.

Each year, STEM Day at StoneBridge helps build creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and discernment of Biblical principles that point to the Son of God.
