SBS parent and licensed professional counselor Jenny Hornby and SBS Alumna Madeleine (Maye) Murphy are getting ready to release their first children’s book together, Made for This, in June June. Last Fall, Lower School students enthusiastically embraced little Ozzie and how he worked through his fears as Mrs. Hornby read the book draft and showed Mrs. Murphy’s illustrations during chapel.

I love volunteering. It has taught me important lessons, helped me grow significantly, and brought me closer to God. My time volunteering at Mercy Drops, CHKD, and Sentara during the last few years has impacted me the most. It has taught me three important lessons I hope to carry with me throughout life.
