What better way to start a new year than by welcoming back alumni to our campus and celebrating StoneBridge school spirit! Homecoming 2023, January 3-7, kicked off with Spirit Week and culminated with three days of fun activities for the whole SBS community.
On Thursday, January 5, alumni returned to StoneBridge to lead the Upper School chapel and to hear from Tess Parroco Fike, Class of 2015, who shared her story of God’s goodness after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. Watch her testimony below.
Following chapel, alumni gathered to speak to the juniors and seniors about their experiences after leaving StoneBridge. An over-arching theme throughout the morning was to follow God’s guidance and expect for your plans to change.
Thank you to the following alumni for attending: Ethan Batres, Sofia Dudkovsky, Talia Dyke, Hope Frost, Sara Gainor, Danny Gonzalez, Tori Greer, Bailee Mitchell, Isabel Odewald, Timothy Palmer, Farris Parkerson, Jasmine Reza, Peyton Riddick, Adam Russell, Joanna Sobczak, Jonathan Stallings, Kingsley Thomason, Brooke Thompson, Julianna Torres, Landon Wells, Frank Wentz, Kerri Williams, and Rachel Wingfield.
Homecoming kicked into high gear on Friday, January 6, with a rousing pep rally followed by a social hour for alumni. A large crowd from the entire SBS community gathered for fun activities outside, including a cornhole tournament, s’mores, three food trucks, fire pits and games. The evening concluded with a win by the Boys Varsity Basketball team over Guardian Christian Academy. Current SBS students then capped off the week in the CAVS gym for their Homecoming dance.
It was a full week of celebrating StoneBridge, who we are, and the SBS Cavalier spirit!
