The reviews of StoneBridge Drama’s “Mary Poppins” are in and to say it was “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” would be an understatement. During the four sold-out performances in three days, the cast and crew sang and danced their way through the streets of London and into the audience’s hearts.
Some of the comments on Facebook included:
“I would say this was an ABSOLUTELY perfect show! Thank you Ms. Cribb and Mrs. Wooten and all the other staff and volunteers who worked so hard to achieve this remarkable performance. The cast was just amazing. So much talent! My friends and family couldn’t say enough good things about it. One person said, ‘It was so good, I didn’t want it to end!’”
“Friends we invited last night asked if the students were compensated because their performance was absolutely amazing!!! What a great compliment!!!”
Kenna Cribb, StoneBridge Drama Director, expressed her deep appreciation for everyone who participated and helped make the show a huge success.
“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who helped us get to the rooftops of London,” she said. “The cast and crew worked hard. And beyond them, we also had an unbelievable team of volunteers supporting us and doing so much more than we can say to make this show possible – so many long hours and projects and preps that were far from easy. We truly cannot thank them enough. Thank you for the journey. Thank you for believing in us.”
The show represented years of working to grow the theater program, the generosity of sponsors, and also a significant investment from StoneBridge School.
