Upper School

Student Life

StoneBridge offers students a variety events and special days that truly enhances the educational process, builds student knowledge and confidence, and strengthens community among our students, parents and faculty.

Our special days, field trips, and academic projects enrich classroom lessons and encourages StoneBridge students to take ownership of their studies. Each academic project further develops the student’s writing and speaking skills. With continued practice, students are well-prepared for the 25-page Senior Thesis and Oral Defense they must complete in order to graduate.

Below are some of highlights for each year:

School-wide Events

  • Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day
  • Liberty Day
  • Art Festival
  • Spirit Week

Upper School Retreat

Students, families, and faculty take a three-day retreat to Rockbridge, Virginia, every fall to help foster community and spiritual renewal among our student body. Students take part in worship, daily devotions, team-building activities, and other fun activities like rock climbing, zip lining, swimming, sports games and more. The retreat is a highlight of the year for students and proves to be a memorable time for everyone, especially for our graduating seniors.

Senior Trip

Students at each grade level have the opportunity to visit significant U.S. landmarks to learn about our country’s history and relate it to Biblical teachings. These lessons culminate during the senior year with the European Christian History Tour, a two-week experience through different countries overseas.

Students experience different cultures and cuisines, stay in hotels and hostels, travel by trains, planes, and motor coaches, and complete a mission project.
